my king in my queen bed--I ask how much
do you love me?
he unwraps and stretches to the wall
in the corner of my room—our nook
his knuckles rap
the plaster

see this
past it and if you walk on
there will be another
past that one too
and the next
and again

we cocoon

what a way to say so much
